We were extremely happy when we found out that Youth of Today made the official selection for Los Angeles Shriekfest 2013. We were even more shocked to learn we were the only UK film to be selected for the festival.
“Its a dream come true really, to have my first film selected for Shriekfest. It’s perhaps even more special that fact we will be played to an audience in Los Angeles, The home of movies. Shriekfest is one of the best horror film festivals in the U.S and for us to be a part of it this year is absolutely wonderful. As Los Angeles is Eileen’s home town, she will be representing the film at the festival as well as catching up with all of her die hard fans!” Director Michelle Hands

Youth of Today made the official selection at this years Macabre Faire Film Festival in New Jersey. Our very own star Eileen Dietz was a special guest at the festival and was there to represent our short film. Eileen was looked after brilliantly as every queen scream should be whilst at the festival. Her reports back to us indicated she had an amazing time chatting and meeting new people.
At the screening of Youth of Today she had some great feedback on how people really enjoyed the short film, which is fantastic for us to hear.
The weekend was topped off when Eileen Bagged the Best Actress award for her part at Martha In Youth of Today. Well done Eileen we are all super proud of you!Details
So I just wanted to keep you all updated as we are getting closer to Halloween and more importantly some of the great horror festivals. I am delighted to share with you that “Youth” was selected and shown last weekend at the Hot Springs Horror Film Festival in Arkansas. Eileen flew down from LA as a special guest and was also given an award for her commitments to Horror!.
I spoke to Eileen this week to gain some feedback on how our film was received by the good people of Arkansas and she said “extremely well, there were a few laughs and gasps of surprise”. I have been overwhelmed by reception we have had with this short over the pond and am excited by all the new people who given us some great feedback.
here is a great picture of Eileen with the events organisers and one with her outside the big screen!
We are currently in the early stages of pre-production of another short horror. Hot off the success of our horror short Youth Of Today, Underdog has started work on another horror short. We are very excited to be working with an award winning american screenwriter who has carefully crafted this dark and terrifying short. We can’t release too much information at this time other than, this next short will be more gruesome and shocking and will un-doubtingly leave you very scared.Details
